Thank you to everyone that joined us on our sponsored walk - Year 4 loved exploring outside and getting to spend time with their friends and family. A special thank you to the Year 6's who were great tour guides and told us lots of information about the history of Gorse Hall.

This week, our children have been busy exploring the exciting world of careers and jobs. Throughout the week, we have been learning about a wide range of occupations and discussing the important skills needed for each role. The children have taken part in discussions, activities and games to help them think about their own interests and talents, while learning more about the many opportunities available in the future.

Year 5 had a visit from Foreman Roberts a consulting engineer service. This has inspired our boys and girls into a career in engineering Home - Foreman Roberts Thank you to Mr Hardy for joining us and answering all our questions about this amazing career. 

Year 6 had the pleasure of welcoming WizeUp Financial Education to our school. The pupils tackled budgets, the importance of saving their money and looked at their financial future. The name of the new sensory room is...The Cosy Cave. As voted and created by our pupils. We are having a special sign created for this. The old computing room in KS2 has been cleared of all IT equipment, repainted and new furniture and resources have been purchased to make a calming space. We just wanted send an enormous thank you to our community your generosity developing our new sensory room. We also want to thank Lifeline4Kids, who also donated to the room, which again is fantastic.

Children were very creative and imaginative whilst outside today. 

There art work was based on the artist and sculptures of Andy Goldsworthy.

Their wellbeing on Wellbeing Wednesday most definitely improved by being outside in our school grounds. 

Year 5 went to each careers station to look at what school subjects could lead to in the world of work. They chose the top few they were most curious about and did some research to find out more about them.
