Fruit kebabs

This half term, the children have been busy re-searching different types of fruits and exploring their colours, textures, and patterns. As part of this learning, they designed their own repeating pattern fruit kebabs, carefully thinking about how to arrange the fruits in a sequence.

Today, the children put their ideas into practice by using their Design and Technology (D&T) skills to prepare their ingredients. They learned how to safely peel and chop a variety of fruits, showing great care and independence.

Sewing a soft toy

Year 5 practised the running stitch with a needle and thread and applied this skill to create a soft toy. It was definitely a challenge for some children but we persevered and didn't give up! Some children will help out other children to finish their soft toy in the next session.

Lunch time

The children enjoyed fish and chips after a cold morning of activities and they had some fun on the gaming tables.
