Today in Year 2, we had a special visitor—a beekeeper—who came to tell us all about looking after bees. We examined a frame that contained royal jelly, wax, and honey, as well as the beekeeper’s suit. We tasted four different types of honey and tried to guess which one was the beekeeper’s honey.

Nechen, our Mental Health Practitioner, did another session on worry this week. We talked about different strategies we can use when feeling worried. We then made our own worry monsters that we can tell our worries to.
We are so impressed with our latest handwriting display. The work displayed is beautifully presented showing how hard these children are working. Are winners are:

We did it! This was quite challenging to a lot of children but with some resilience and perseverance, we did it! Thanks to the amazing children who were super helpers!

Year 2 enjoyed being outdoors and exploring nature.
Children saw bird nests, butterflies and bees.
Then we spoke about wellbeing and the importance of being outside.
