Poetry performance

Yesterday Year 3 performed a poem to the whole school. We read a poem based on Spike Milligan's famous poem called 'On the Ning nang nong'

Our poem links to our topic and was called 'On the Stone Age hill'

Young Ambassadors

Here are our Young Ambassadors for this school year! Their role is to help promote sport and PE across school. They have already been very busy in KS1 running lots of diffferent games at lunch time. They completed their training last week and got to meet GB sprinter, Andy Robertson who was a Young Ambassador when he was at school.

We cannot wait to see their ideas in action!

Game Changers

Here are our Game Changers for this school year! Their role is to help ensure equal access in sport for girls and boys, especially in football.

They attended training last week and already have so many ideas for things we can do at school. The Game Changers look very smart in their new hoodies!

We cannot wait to see the impact they have across school in ensuring equal access in sport.

No Pens Day 2024

Next week on Wednesday 27th November the whole school will take part in No Pens Day. This is a day to recognise that there are many different ways to communicate and not all people find talking and understanding words easy. Communication is vital for young people to thrive and difficulties in this can make children feel sad and isolated. During No Pens Day we will look at alternative ways to communicate like using gestures, facial expressions, codes and sign language. It will also be a fun way to practise our oracy and speaking and listening skills which is so important.

The Great Broadbent Fold Bake Off!

Thank you to the PTFA for organising our Bake Off! Pupils had created some wonderful cakes and biscuits - our winners are above 1. Aubrey and Elwin's rainbow LGBTQ+ cake 2. Teddy with his cookie monsters! 3. Chloe's spy cakes linked to her class topic.
