Sean from The Greater Manchester Magistrates' Association came to visit today. The children were amazed to find out about the law and how Sean keeps them safe every single day. They learnt about how to keep themselves safe, knife crime and they even used Millie as a volunteer in a Mock Trial in the classroom. What a brilliant activity to start our Anti-bullying week.
Year 6 were very respectful today at 11:00, marking Remembrance Day with a two minutes silence.

Year 6 have lots of knowledge about Poland and loved finding out about the culture, food and cities. They also loved the heads, shoulders, knees and toes song too. Happy Polish Independence Day everyone!
On 11th November 1918 Poland celebrated it's independence day. As Polish is our Modern Foreign Language - we will be celebrating this event and taking part in many activities. Miss Laitl our Polish teacher will lead this.
Anti-Bullying Week 2024 will take place from Monday 11th - Friday 15th November, with the theme: Choose Respect. Odd Socks Day is taking place on Tuesday 12th November, with adults and children being encouraged to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

I'm very proud of the Remembrance work that Year 6 completed. Their poems are thoughtful and their art work is impressive.
