Positivity in Year 6

Throughout the last fortnight, Year 6 has been looking into how to overcome depression, anxiety and bullying. They really delved into their own emotions and how they could resolve feeling down. The children wrote poems and represented these in their very own positive pop-up book. I'm sure you'll agree at how amazing they are!

Dance through the ages

Year 6 have worked ever so hard with their dance through the ages. It's been amazing to watch their confidence and skills develop. Well done Year 6.

Dodgeball Final

Tonight, some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the Tameside dodgeball finals where they came 3rd in their group. They showed some fantastic dodging, catching and throwing skills but most importantly demonstrated great sportsmanship. Congratulations to everyone who played and a big thank your to Courtney for stepping in last minute to play.

Year 6 Viking Day Showcase

The children have done me proud today. They indendently immersed themselves in Viking activities and celebrating the day by in their representations in their history books. How good do they look.

A hard day as a Viking

Year 6 really got stuck in to being a Viking today. They: decorated drinking vessels, decyphered rune code, drew a Viking, created a bracelet, broach and tollen. They loved the idea that the Vikings played a form of chess, braided hair and even debated. Their favourite activity of the day was to recreate their Viking Saga- keep looking out for more photographs as the day progresses.
