Year 5's Rugby Gifts! Thank you!

Year 5 were absolutely thrilled after their Rugby session today!  The Jason Robinson Foundation presented some brilliant prizes, such as bags, football boots, sliders, coats, joggers and t-shirts!  Wow!  They were so grateful and all the class will be writing to Charles to say thank you.  We are very grateful for your generosity.  Mrs Blomeley


Maths fun making Triangles!

Year 5 used their knowledge about different types of Triangles to create them on their pin boards!  The activity consolidated their work on Right angled, Scalene, Isosceles and Equilateral triangles and the class were all confident in challenging their partners!  Well done everyone!  Mrs Blomeley


Year 5's Glow Dodgeball Fun!

Year 5 loved the Glow Dodgeball event!  They wore their neon sportswear and donned their glow sticks to add to the fun of the Dodgeball competition between the different teams!   Great fun was had by all!  Mrs Blomeley

 


Year 5's Football Tournament!

Year 5 enjoyed the fast paced football tournament this morning!  The scores from their matches were really close with a few draws in the mix!  A great start to Sports Week!  Well done everyone!  Mrs Blomeley


Awards in Year 5 w/e 14.6.24

Well done to all of our Award winners this week!  Headteacher's Awards were given for using new-found Geographical knowledge and for having beautiful manners.  Good to be Green awards were given for folowing our school rules of being Ready, Respectful and Safe.  Great work Year 5!  Mrs Blomeley

 


Year 5's Awesome Athletics!

Year 5 were put through their paces today when Mr Williams began their Athletics sessions in P.E.  Their main focus was sprinting; they had to maintain and control their pace by doing laps of the playground!  Even though the task was extremely tiring, the children were amazing!  Well done Year 5.  Mrs Blomeley 


Look at our fantastic vegetable garden!

We have lots of fruit and vegetables growing in our garden area. Lettuce, carrots, broad beans, strawberries, rasberries and a range of herbs. We can't wait to taste them! Gardening club have been busy weeding the other garden areas around school and taking pictures of the lovely flowers. 


Year 5 Summer Term 2 - What makes South America a continent of contrasts?

I hope you have all enjoyed the break! Welcome back to our last Half Term in Year 5 - Summer Term 2.  Our final topic is "What makes South America a Continent of contrasts?  Reading the text “Trash” will highlight the plight of street children and provide a valid contrast to the developed countries of South America.  Alongside this, we will watch a children’s TV documentary, which shows a realistic view of young children in Brazil.


Awards in Year 5 w/e 24.5.24

This week's awards included a whole class Headteacher's Award for brilliant work during our Anglo Saxon Day as well as an award for being an outstanding role model.  Good to be Green awards for following our School rules and a Silver Award for achieving 100 star points were also given.  Well done everyone!  Mrs Blomeley.
