Book Donation Ryder & Dutton

Our Reading Ambassadors and Librarians met Ryder & Dutton today - where they presented school with new books! These books are gothic novels and a selection we needed to inspire boys to read. Thank you so much for this contribution, our pupils will love them. 


BBF vs Arlies

Our Year 5 and 6 girls football team had a fantastic first game of the year against Arlies Primary school where they won 3-1. They had a positive attitude throughout and were very encouraging and supportive of one another. Great job girls!


Black History in Y5 & Y6

Today, Year 5 and 6 had the privilege to have Anges Fough visit us and explain the origins of Black History. The children had lots of questions and were intrigued by the information. What a great visit from our Community Governor. 


Cross Country Grand Prix

Lots of Broadbent Fold pupils took on the challenge of cross country this morning at East Cheshire Harriers. It was lovely to see the support they gave each other Fantastic job everyone!

Year 3/4 girls = 28th India

Year 3/4 boys = 23rd Roman, 24th Harry, 29th E, 42nd Luke, 43rd Noah and 52nd Tobias

Year 5/6 girls = 6th A, 9th Courtney, 13th Chloe, 14th Lolly, 27th Amelia and 29th Phoebe

Year 5/6 boys = 5th Jacob, 7th George and 8th Dominic 


Awards in Year 5 w/e 11.10.24

Awards in Year 5 this week were awarded for great focus towards learning, having a brilliant sense of humour to cheer up the class, and our Good to be Green awards for being Ready, Respectful and Safe this week.  Well done everyone!  Mrs Blomeley 


BBF vs Bradley Green

The Year 5 and 6 boys' football team had their first match of the year against Bradley Green Primary Academy where they won 7-1. They showed great team work and a positive attitude throughout the game. Well done to both teams!


Learning together

We had special visitors today! Year 5 heard we have been learning about space and visited us to share some facts they have learn. They brought inflatable planets and told us some facts about each planet. They also taught us the mnemonic to help us remember the order of the planets in our solar system.


Book corner competition

Today the Reading Ambassadors worked with Mrs Parker to judge the winner of our book corner competition. They walked around school and gave some frank but fair comments about the book corners.

Our winners are:

1st place- Year 3 space themed

2nd place- Year 1 super powers themed

3rd place- Year 6 book thief theme

Year 3 will win their prize in assembly this week. 


Space Week 2024

For World Space Week 2024, the chosen theme is “Space & Climate Change.” This theme celebrates the impact of space technology in our ongoing battle against climate change, emphasizing the proactive role space exploration plays in enhancing our understanding and management of Earth’s climate.
