World Book Day!

Today, we have celebrated World Book Day and dressed up as a character from one of our favourite books. Some children brought in their favourite book(s) to share with the rest of the class, we have also been designing a new book cover for our class text 'Bee & Me', researching and finding out all about our favourite Author / Poet 'Michael Rosen',  we have been listening to our two favourite poems (Chocolate Cake / Strict) and we have been explaining what we like about them.

Game Changers Assembly

Our Game Changers were very brave today doing an assembly infront of the whole school telling everyone about their role as Game Changers and #letgirlsplay day which is happening tomorrow. #Letgirlsplay is all about promoting equal access in girls football by 2025. We cannot wait for th fun activities to continue tomorrow!

World Book Day events 2024

World Book Day is celebrated between 7th-8th March and children may dress up on Friday 8th in their World Book Day costumes or in their own comfy clothes- please remember to bring in your favourite book from home to read.   The Reading Ambassadors and Librarians have set a World Book Day competition. Your child needs to create a new front cover for their class text which they are reading this half term.

Invasion games - PE

Today in PE, Year 2 have been practising catching a ball consistently and moving their opponent around the court when playing against them through skill development and then applying it into an adapted game. Well done everyone!

Nature printing

Today in year 2, we created a printed piece of art by pressing, rolling and rubbing using leaves. How fabulous does our artwork look?

Sean Perkins visit

We met author and illustrator Sean Perkins today who read us his book 'Ben and Oscar birthday party'

He was very creative and used sound effects to narrate his story. We even enjoyed a sing song with his guitar to finish.

Please remember that you can order one or both of his signed books. Bring in your slip and money next week.
