Passover live lesson

Year 3 enjoyed joining the live lesson about Passover which was broadcast by The Jewish Museum today. This supported their RE work about Judaism and festivals. They found out about the Seder Plate, its content and what this represents to Jewish people. We looked at the story of the Passover and why it is named so. I am very impressed with their knowledge of the subject. 


Stereotypes in the workplace

Today in PSHE we played one of our talking games called 'Consensus Circle' to debate the question 'Which jobs are best suited to women?'

We had some interesting discussions using a talk token each time we wanted to talk. We had to listen carefully to our group to be able to state whether we agreed or disagreed with their ideas.

We decided that women can and should do any job they want to. Nothing can hold them back if they are determined. However they did agree that some jobs may be better suited only because of the interests which some women may have.

Well done to this weeks Head-Teacher, Good to be Green and handwriting award winners! A super effort guys! Also, well done to the 5 children who have been busy achieving awards at their outside of school clubs including martial arts, swimming and football. Keep up the hard word! 


Year 5's Climate Change message!

Year 5 did a great job in delivering their Climate Chane assembly to the school last week!  They have learnt so much about the problems of Climate Change in their topic “Why should the World’s Rainforests matter to all of us?”   Firstly, they used their persuasive writing skills to convince Mrs Parker to allow them to get their message across to the whole school by performing an assembly!  When she agreed, they learnt the very catchy “Climate Change Song”.  Rumour has it that mums and dads of Year 5 children have been heard singing the song at home!  The c


Awards in Year 5 w/e 21.3.25

The whole class received an award this week for their amazing Climate Change assembly which they presented to the school on Thursday!  Awards were also given for being a great ambassador for I.T. and, as always, Good to be Green awards were given for following our school rules of being Ready Respectful and Safe.  This half term's Handwriting certificate was awarded for consistently formed, beautiful handwriting.  Mathletic certificates were given for achieving impressive levels in our online Maths programme, Mathletics. Friday Awards

Congratulations to the Year 2 children who received their awards today. This week, Headteachers certificates were awarded for online safety knowledge and great writing. We also had two Good to Be Green lottery winners and Handwriting Award. Well done!
