Toys we made

Last week, we made toys as part of our D&T currciculum. We tested our toys to check they were practical as well as asthetic looking. 


Gorgeous Guacamole in Year 5!

As part of  their topic on South America, Year 5 had a great morning demonstrating their food technology skills to make Guacamole today!  They used a variety of utensils, including a hand mixer, a garlic crusher, chopping  boards and knives to make the "best Guacamole" ever, according to some groups! 

 

 

 

 

 


Design technology: making Greek Salads

Year 3 have used their designs to create delicious Greek salads today. They have peeled, chopped and prepared all of their ingredients themselves. What else can you make at home? Send in your photographs to Seesaw. 


Jason Robinson Tag Rugby

Huge congratulations to our year 4 and 5 pupils who took part in a Jason Robinson tag rugby tournament on Friday. They worked so well as a team and show huge potential for the tournaments next year. Pupils chatted with Jason and he presented a new rugby ball to one of our year 5 players. Well done! 

 


Tennis Time in Year 5!

Year 5 are enjoying their Tennis sessions every Friday and are learning new skills on how to control the tennis balls, doing "keepy uppies".  Mrs Blomeley


Entrepreneurs in Year 5!

Year 5 became Entrepreneurs for the day to make their jewellery to sell at next week's Summer Fair!  As well as Design and Technology. they used their amazing artwork to design advertising posters, as well as their Maths skills to calculate the best offers, to make the most profit!  These are all important life skills and Year 5 demonstrated how they can achieve results when they work hard!  Well done Year 5!  Mrs Blomeley
