The Vikings have invaded Year 6!

Great work to our super award winners today. Well done Year 6.

This term we are enjoying working scientifically exploring different parts of science investigations. Today we have been taking accurate measurements using different thermometers.

We had a lot of fun playing team games in PE this week. Our favourite was pass the balloon blindfolded. 

Our Year 5 and 6 boys football team played the second round of the Alan Millea cup against Gee Cross Holy Trinity School tonight. It was a very tight game that finished 4-4 and went to penalties. Broadbent Fold won on penalties 4-2! Great effort boys, well done!

Today in Year 1, we moved around a carousel of activities including practising our phonics, creating art work by Henri Mattise, Wassily Kandinsky and George Surrat.

Year 3 have enjoyed using Scratch to explore coding motion, sound, costumes and backdrops. Today they have planned their final project which they will create next week. 

We are taking part in a pilot - Start Small, Dream Big. Our curriculum has interwoven jobs for the future into the learning of everyday subjects. It challenges bias and stereotypes in jobs. You can help at home too:

Our creative homework project this term was to create a volcano. The volcanoes that have been brought in so far are outstanding year 3. You have worked so hard on them and I am really enjoying all of the videos that are being sent in of you making your volcanoes erupt at home.

I cannot wait to see the rest of them.
