This half term will continue to immerse the children in the expectations of Year 6. I will be explicit in how we can raise standards to ensure the children know what they need to do this year to be secondary school ready. These standards will be interwoven into our work in our second topic of the year- Did we come from apes? Here we will explore evolution, learn about Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace and investigate our heritage.Here are a few important dates for this half term:

• Poetry Together event hosted by Gyles Brandreth at Aviva Studios on Friday 14th November 10am - 2.30pm.
• Assessment weeks 24th Nov
• Evolution workshop Wed 26th Nov am
