Basketball finals

The pupils that represented Broadbent Fold in the basketball competition did us proud coming 4th in Tameside! They worked really well together as a team both attacking and defending on the court and showing great sportsmanship throughout. They only conceded 2 goals throughout the entirety of the competition and had some fantastic shots themselves.

Broadbent Fold vs Our Lady of Mount Carmel 0-0

Broadbent Fold vs St Mary's, Droylsden 0-0

Egg spectacular!

Well doen to our Y6 Egg Winners Mia and Lexi for their stunning creations.

This was a very hard decision as the standard this year was so high!

Science Fair Fun for Year 5 !

Year 5 really enjoyed joining Year 6 for the Science Fair yesterday!  The activities were fun and varied; they included Rocket Launching, looking through Microscopes, making fingerprints, investigating smells, making electicical circuits, a space station and testing magnetism!  The Year 6 children were fantastic at demonstrating their Science skills!  Well done to all of you!  Mrs Blomeley

Science Fair

Year 1 loved taking part in the Science Fair today. A big thank you to Year 6 for running it. They were brilliant at getting the pupils to make predictions and perform the tests to see if they were right.

Broadbent Fold vs St John Fisher

Broadbent Fold girls football team had a tough semi final against St John Fisher with the final score been 0-2. Even though the girls didn't make it to the final they should be really proud of how much progress they have made as a team and how well they have played together and supported one another. Well done everyone!

Team Amber - Winners!

Amber have won the House Team Points for spring term. Well done Amber - you have been so impressive all term and have worked incredibly hard to achieve your rewards. On Friday 31st March, you will receive a special non-uniform day for your efforts. Good luck to the other teams next term - you can do it!

Science Fair 2023

Year 6 have had a fabulous day hosting the Science Fair this year. We have worked with KS1 and KS2 to investigate, research and consolidate our scientific learning across the school. We have explored magnets, electricity, scents, fingerprints, chemical reactions, famous inventors, space and beyond, rocks and fossils, light and shadow and human organs.

Thank you Year 6 you were fantastic leaders today and I am very proud of you all.

Y6 Star of the week 24-3-23

Well done to our Stars this week Jack and Henry.

Jack is really working hard on improving his writing and I am really impressed with his informal letter from a migrant this week.

Henry has contributed so well to our P4C sessions and I love how confidently he puts across his viewpoints. Keep this up.

Our Good to be Green winners are Daniel and Lexi for being outstanding role models!
