We have achieved GOLD for our School Games Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

What a great way to start the sports week - swimming gala time. Our pupils came fourth overall and have done us so proud. They were cheering each other on so loudly, showing great team work too. Big shout out to Ted who has done the last three galas now and this will be his last - which he is very happy about. Huge thank you to Bella for stepping in last minute to do butterfly. Kai, who won his butterfly race and we had many 2nd and 3rd places too.

Today's Athletics lesson was Relay. Children worked in their teams to pace and race against each other, using batons to pass to their teams. They were super competitive.

What a fabulous morning watching the BBC Philarmonic Orchestra. They were amazing! We even had enough time to chill out in the park before we came back to school. We all wish that everyday could be as fun as today was.
I am looking for the skill of perserverance this half term. We are discussing it in assembly and we have shared the importance of this in our daily lives and for future employment.

Well, what a whirlwind of a year we have had, and our final term at Broadbent Fold does not fail to be the same. Teaching your child twice has been an absolute pleasure; they have been amazing! Throughout this term, the children will be stepping back into the time of the Mayan civilisation, alongside putting on a play of a lifetime. Here are some of the important dates for your diary.
