The Reading Ambassadors set the whole school a challenge to research a famous author to share in assembly. Today each class shared some facts about their chosen authors including Michael Rosen, Francesca Simon, Tom Fletcher, Jeff Kinney, Katherine Rundell and Tony Bradman.

Congratulations to the Year 2 children who received certificates this morning. We had Headteacher's Award for great persuasive writing and effort in all subjects. There were two Good to be Green lottery winners and two children received their Bronze Awards. Well done!

Design Technology in Year 2.
Designing ships - together children designed their own pirate ships. They carefully made their ships and then tested them to see if the ship would float!
Children were so proud of their designs - future designers and ship builders! Or maybe future pirates!

Fundamental movements in P.E. Year 2 very energetic this morning taking part in throwing, catching and dodging the ball.

We are very proud of this young man in year 3. Recently he ran the Junior Heaton Park Run to raise money for the local food bank. He raised £160 and ran exceptionally well!!

Broadbent Fold worked together to get 3961 points and successfully travel to the North Pole. Pupils and staff were tasked to try to complete 5 minutes of active travel every day where possible and every day they managed got a point for school. All children who managed to get at least 4 points were given a key ring as a prize. We had so many children complete their active travel every day that we had to raffle the top 3 prizes. Well done to everyone that took part!
