As part of sports week, the children took part in a inter-house football competition. Well done Year 1!

Today we welcomed Coach Cameron to our school as part of National Sports Week. He gave up his valuable time to share all about basketball, his role as a player and a coach with Tameside Vikings. Year 4 and Year 5 were so interested in the sport and the roles he has with the club. He has been so successful and his passion for basketball is infectious. If anyone is interested in joining the club, please speak with Mrs Parker. Thanks Coach Cam! 

Year 5 used a school map for orienteering to find letters hidden around the school. They needed to figure out what the letters spelt.

One of our favourite events of the year - the EYFS sports day where anything goes! Well done to everyone in Nursery and Reception, you never fail to make us smile! 

Year 1 and 2 had lots of fun taking part in a range of activities for sports day! Well done everyone! I think the space hoppers was both the children's and spectators' favourite! 

Years 3 and 4 had a blast yesterday at the Nerf Festival. We have some very good shots in the class- I can personally vouch for that. Thank you to Astley Sport's Village for letting us have such a memorable experience. 

Today our catering team put on a World Cup Menu. This included a meatball sub  and flag coloured jellies. Our team are incredible and go above and beyond for our pupils. The pupils got 'stuck in' after the morning of sports, even loosing a few meatballs along the way! 

Today, we took part in the friendship baton relay between different schools in Tameside. We received the olynpic torch from Yew Tree Primary School whilst we were taking part in our Nerf Fest at Astley Sports Village!
