Awards on the last day of term were awarded for being a great role model, with exceptional manners, and for brilliant Maths work, both at school and at home.  Our Good to be Green winners were recognised for being Ready, Respectful and Safe all week!  This half term's Vocabulary Ninja certificate was awarded for fantastic use of interesting vocabulary and Year 5 had a clear winner of the History Quiz  with every question answered correctly!  Wow!  Amazing work everyone!  Mrs Blomeley 

I do hope you've all had a lovely Whit holiday and are ready and the children are raring for our last term. This half term we're whizzing back in time to the Ancient Egyptians. The children will be learning about this advanced civilization, using hieroglyphics, finding out about Howard Carter, pharaohs and the importance of the River Nile and making a shaduf.

I cannot believe we are on our final half term before year 6 move on to their new secondary school. Please read our new topic information for Summer 2: 'Why were the Mayans magnificent'? Please note the important dates on our topic overview which is on our class blog including the end of year dates for your diary. I have also ttached the home learning grid with more opportuntities for learning from home. Please remember that the creative homework task is to be completed by 26th June. 

Well done to Sam and Seth for winning the Headteacher's Award for their teamwork creating a poster about how animals adapt to desert life.

Boyd is this term's Vocabulary Ninja Award winner for using amazing language in his writing. 

Year 6 had a fabulous morning in Gorse Hall today as a treat for their hard work leading up to SATS.

What a fantastic job the Eco Leaders and the lovely volunteers from Findel Education did making the new vegetable garden. We have planted lots of vegetables and fruit in our beds and are looking forward to seeing them grow. We can't wait to see the fruits of our labours! Thank you so much for all of your donations they are very much appreciate. 

Early Years had a wonderful time on the trip to the Tropical Butterfly House. We saw lots of fabulous minibeasts plus lemurs, tortoises, meerkats plus lots more. The dinosaur trail was lots of fun. 

Thank you to Findel Education for their hard working making our veggie patches. They look amazing. Thank you to our Eco-Leaders too, who spent the day digging and planting. Hopefully we should gets some vegetables through and we can start cooking. 

We are delighted to announce that Broadbent Fold Primary School, have achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award for the 2022/23 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

Well done to this week's Head-teacher, Good to be Green and History award (History quiz) winners. You have really stood out this week! Well done to R who has been working hard at his football club winning the Puma cup in the final. Keep up the hard work everyone
