Imran, a Muslim visitor taught Year 3 stories of Muhammad, we learnt Muhammad had so much sadness in his life as lots of his family had died. 

However, later in his life he had a calling from Allah. Muhammad went to live in the wilderness to receive messages from God. 

Did you know Imran loved Muhammad more than anyone else? A good Muslim does and Imran has even been to Mecca.

Today, Year 2 were visited by a special visitor 'Imran' who came to talk to us about his faith, Islam. Imran was very impressed with the children's knowledge of the Islamic faith. Well done everybody!

Today, Imran came into class to teach Year 4 about the Prophet Mohammad. It was fascinating to find out about the life of the Prophet. The children were amazed to find out how the Prophet lived through so many tragedies in his life. The calling from Allah was strong and Mohammad went into the wilderness to receive messages from God through Angel Gabriel, writing these down in the Quran. The children were very respectful and listened intently to Imran when he was explaining. They also asked some very good questions too.

What an amazing opportunity we had today as Joseph's dad came and shared his childhood stories from Scotland. We revelled in his stories about The Loch Ness Monster and the Goddess Beira. The children loved the taste of Scotland as he'd brought in Iron Bru and homemade shortbread.  A massive thank you for coming and talking to the class, it really brought the Scottish myths and legends to life and gave them meaning. 

Today, we started our new Svience topic 'Aniamals including Humnas. We worked in small groups to describe how animals change as they grow. We matched offspring's to their adults and learnt the names of baby animals. . 

Our new topic in Year 5 will stretch our geographical skills, as we learn about the importance of rainforests to our planet.  This will lead us into the ongoing debate about Climate Change, where we will learn more about Greta Thunberg and her efforts to save our planet.   Find our Topic Information and Home Learning Challenge Grid below.

Year 1 were paleontologists for the day and went looking for dinosaur fossils. We predicted what we thought they were ands which bit if the dinosaur they beloned to.
