Today, we have taken part in Tameside's Ready, Steady, Read book festival and zoomed Author and Poet Jessica Wilson. Her first children’s book ‘Sofia the Dreamer and her Magical Afro’ was endorsed by Benjamin Zephaniah and Afua Hirsch and was a 2021 National Poetry Day Recommended Read. Jessica shared her book with us and talked about what inspired her when writing her story.
