4 weeks until Christmas!

We have been using a classical piece of music called ‘A Night of Bare Mountain,’ by composer Modest Mussorgsky. We have used this piece of music to inspire our English work. We have created an image of our own Bare Mountain and wrote super sentences about the senses. The music helps us to be creative with our thinking and writing. In Maths, we have been using buttons to help learn our multiplication and division facts for our 3, 4 and 8 times table. We have explored commutative numbers and found different factors to create a product. We have been challenging ourselves using the chilli challenge when selected our work. ‘I managed to do a hot challenge yesterday for division with remainders, I am proud of myself,’ Olivia. We have started our rights respecting school award by learning out the children right, ‘Every child has the right to clean water, nutritious food and health care.’ We have found out that over 2.1 billion children do not have access to this. In Science, we have been learning about different food groups and how they impact on our bodies and health.  In topic, we have been doing map work and locating countries and continents on a map. In computing, we have working with the ‘SMART crew’ to learn about internet safety. We have created posters to teach younger children about being: S = Safe M = Meeting A =  Accepting R = Reliable T = Tell
