Nursery children have been enjoying learning through play, lots of new learning can take place in our indoor environment. Our home corner and play dough area provides plenty of opportunity for children to improve their speaking and listening, children count the number of cups, they learn to read the numbers on the pretend cooker.
Mrs Slate, Miss Spalding and Mrs Watkin have been really impressed by how well the new nursery children have settled into Broadbent Fold Nursery.
We have started learning more about ourselves and painted wonderful pictures of ourselves.
This week we have been subtracting sea creatures. We have been counting how many are left when different creatures swim away.
We have been adding groups of seashells together this week. Mrs Kleban is very impressed with our super maths!

We are learning all about the seaside and under the sea this half term. We have been reading Sharing a Shell by Julia Donaldson. We have loved role playing in our seaside area. There have been lots of barbecues on the beach!
We went on a minibeast hunt. We found lots of different bugs and discovered many of them like dark places to live.
We have our own caterpillars to care for. We love observing them to see how they grow and change.
The children love learning and exploring in our minibeast lab!
