Y6 reading dens

During our non screen day last week Year 6 had a go at making some cosy reading dens to sit and read their favourite books.

Well done to all who have already sent me some photographs. I will add more to the blog next week.

We joined in at school too- we made cosy dens under the tables using cushions and coats.

I hope you all enjoyed this :)

Y6 Stars of the week 22-1-21

Well done to our stars of the week in Y6- Adam and Lily.

Adam always pays attentions carefully and particpates well in all lessons. He is a joy to teach.

Lily impressed me with her biography writing about Ivar the Boneless. You should feel proud Lily.

Keep up the great work everybody else.

Y6 Home Learning Grid 25th January

Well done to everybody who continues to work hard in school and at home. I know it can be difficult to stay motivated but you are all doing so well. I was impressed last week with some of the biographies about Ivar the Boneless. I am also really proud of how well you worked on multiplying decimals. Keep thinking about your mental wellbeing too- I will post more mindfulness ideas on Seesaw for you to try again this week.

I have created a suggested timetable again for this week- please use if it helps you to organise your time.

Coordination (PE)

The Physical Education take home worksheet focuses all around coordination for this half term. It gives children opportunities to learn at home whilst keeping fit. The worksheet can be written on or be discussed with a parent or carer. I have attached the document below. Don't forget to send anything you complete to your class teacher on Seesaw.

Chance to Shine Cricket session

Chance to Shine are running weekly cricket sessions live on youtube. These are taking place every Wednesday between 2-2.45pm and can be found via the following link https://youtu.be/uYyvkI0tpnk.

This week the session is called Cool Catcher and is focusing on catching skills. If you want to take part you will need a ball or rolled up pair of socks and a wall to rebound the ball off.

Y6 Stars of the week 15-1-21

I am so impressed with everybody in school and at home who have joined in with the live lessons and home learning this week.

Our first star this week is Maisie. You have completed so much work and I love the way you send in videos too.

Our second star is Coban- you act on advice well and put so much effort into what you do.

Congratulations!!

Dear Parents, Carers and children

Thank you to all of the children who are joining in with their remote/live lessons. You are working so hard and I am so proud of you all. Well done to all of the children in school too.

I have created a suggested timetable again for this week- please use if it helps you to organise your time.

Hopefully you will have managed to collect the workbooks from school. I will set work from these each week but if you want to complete additional activities please do so.
