Fabulous Reading

The children have worked so hard this afternoon when music was cancelled. They were so engrossed in their new story book- The Time Travelling Cat, that I was able to take a few photographs. Excellent work Year 4.

Superstars in Year 4

I'm so very proud of all of Year 4 this week with their effort and determination in their multiplication tests. Great work Year 4.

Ancient Egyptian Research

Year 4 have started off our Egyptian topic with their own research. They have been amazed by the pyramids, gods, goddesses, mummification and hieroglyphic. Their work has been displayed on pyramids on the wall display.

Look at our fantastic vegetable garden!

We have lots of fruit and vegetables growing in our garden area. Lettuce, carrots, broad beans, strawberries, rasberries and a range of herbs. We can't wait to taste them! Gardening club have been busy weeding the other garden areas around school and taking pictures of the lovely flowers.

Howz that!

Year 4 worked really hard to perfect their cricket bowling skills. They practised in 2s and then moved onto small group games. They found it a challenge to not bend their arm at the elbow and to aim accurately but this was only their first lesson. Well done Year 4.

Y4 Multiplication Tests

Year 4 made me very proud today with their official multiplication test. They have put in so much effort practising for this test throughout the year. They were extremely nervous but performed outstandingly. The results will be out soon and shared on their end of school report. Well done Year 4.

Welcome to the last term in Year 4

I do hope you've all had a fabulous Whit holiday, and the children are raring for our final term in Year 4. This half term starts off with our Multiplication tests. These will take place on Tuesday 11th June, so get those last few days of practise in. Our topic this half term is the Egyptians. The children will be inspired by our creative history topic and will step back in time during English writing. This learning will be enhanced by our DT project of making a shaduf. It might be our last half term but it's packed full of fascinating activities to stimulate the mind.

Sponsored Walk

What an amazing walk we had. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who came with us to Gorse Hall and for all your donations to our library. Great work  everyone.

Marvellous Merits in Year 4

It has been a fantastic week in class from everyone. The children have finished writing up their persuasive letters and continued their work in maths on Money. They have thoroughly enjoyed our science experiments too. A great week Year 4.
