Year 5's are working in small groups to generate numbers with a dice. They then need to figure out what the nearest 10, 100, 1000 it could be if it was to round up or down, and circle the correct answer. 

Well done to these children and to the class for winning the Sports award this week!

Year 3 worked with a partner today to make a mirrored dance using a picture stimulus linked to our holidays topic.

Today in science, the children learnt about the phases of the moon. We used a torch (the sun) to shine on a white ball (the moon) to see how it would illuminate the moon whilst it orbits the Earth. The children holding the moon represented Earth and they slowly spun round on the spot. 

We are so proud of how well our Year 1 children have settled into their new classes this term. They’ve made a fantastic start to Key Stage 1, and it's been lovely to see their confidence grow each day. To support a smooth transition from the Early Years, the children have been engaging in a mix of continuous provision, tabletop tasks, and short whole-class activities.

Today year 3 followed a drawing tutorial to create a kindness monster :)

Our reading ambassadors are really enjoying leading library club at lunchtime. 

Art using pastels, children enjoyed creating pictures in the style of Andy Warhol.

This week, we have been exploring our class text 'Supertato' and practising our reading behaviours. Great job everyone! 

Year 6 whizzed through their maths work today as their understanding of numbers to 10,000,000 is fantastic. Well done everyone.
