Year 3 have enjoyed exploring pulley mechanisms to create cranes to pull the iron man up the hill. Great DT skills.

Year 6 have been busy composing music using letters to record down their musical notes. They have enjoyed working in their groups and performing to the class. 

Well done to the whole class! We are very proud of how hard they have worked for their mocks SATs! 

Year 5 and 6 joined together after lunch to welcome our visitor, Anthony, who discussed the importance of Maths in his electrical business.  As well as learning about the main sources of electricity in the world, the children had to identify some unfamiliar objects and explain their relevance to electricity.  Anthony was extremely impressed by their knowledge and thoughtful questions and answers.  It is always good to hear about how people use Maths in their careers!  The children were brilliant hosts!  Thank you Anthony for taking the time to visit us - we all really enjoyed your workshop!

Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6's who represented school in the basketball heats tonight. Our Year 6's went unbeaten and progress to the Tameside finals next week! Our Year 5's showed great teamwork and determination winning one game, losing one game and drawing one game. Well done to everyone that took part!
