Last week Year 6 started their Active Body, Active Mind sessions with Active Tameside. In the morning they looked at team building games and the importance of working collaboratively. In the afternoon they looked at mindfulness and started some basic yoga and breathing activities.

Last half term, pupils in KS2 took part in a sports quiz against other primary schools in Tameside. They worked in teams of 4 and aimed to get as many points as possible. A team of pupils in Year 6 called Xmas Sports won first place with a score of 62 points - 2 points clear of the runners up. We also had a team from Year 3 finishing 10th with 43 points, another team from Year 6 finishing 12th with 40 points and a team called 'The Goats' finishing in 13th with 39 points. Well done to everyone who took part!

Year 6 have had visitors this afternoon and have read their "Mystery Island" stories to Year 2.
Well done to Ruby who was voted by the class as our replacement Reading Ambassador and KS2 Librarian. I am sure that you will do a super job!!
