On to our next act, which is the Christmas Panto theme; Hoodwinked!

Year 6 have been very busy this week, as always, auditioning for parts in our upcoming Christmas Panto,

A modern Robin Hood musical which the children will have great fun performing.

Fire Brigade Visit

This morning Year 6 had a visit from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.

We learnt all about the clothes and equipment they need to use when attending a fire or accident and also went outside for a tour of the Fire Engine.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service is one of the largest Fire and Rescue Services outside London with over 2,100 members of staff and 41 fire stations.

Rock & River!

A wonderful time was had by all of Year 6 at our residential trip to Rock & River.

The two days were crammed with lots of activities including:

Den Building

Swamp Romping

Raft Building

Leap of Faith

Balancing Beams

First Aid Week

What a busy Monday morning!

St John's Ambulance are visiting Broadbent Fold all week.

All day today Year 6 will be busy learning some Basic 1st Aid.

This morning we have been putting each other in the Recovery Position.

Blur - Coffee and T.V.

This week we have watched a video starring a milk carton who went on an adventure!

It was then up to us to re-write the narrative.

We considered how authors  develop characters and settings and select appropriate grammar and vocabulary.

Furthermore, we improved our understanding of how such choices can change and enhance meaning.

Mission Possible!

As our topic is 'Mission Possible', we have been very busy setting challenges and designing mottos for the year ahead.

Have a look at some of our designs.

Welcome to Year 6!

Welcome to Year 6 and what will be a busy and eventful final year for our class at Broadbent Fold.

We have many things planned and much work to do but nothing is impossible for our year 6!

Together we can achieve anything and everything!

Leavers Disco

Our Year 6 end of term disco was a huge success.

Thanks to our wonderful PTFA for organising the food and drinks.
