Our Roof is Complete.

Mr Daniel Parker the Executive at Crescent Roofing came today in assembly to share photos of the whole process. This was fascinating for our pupils and inspired a couple to want to be a roofer! We were also lucky to get drone footage of the school, which the pupils loved. Let's hope that it will last us, so we no longer need any more pots of pans! Our Pupil Leaders had some great questions, which Daniel answered and gave us more detail of the whole process. Well done to our leaders, you always make me proud.

Pupil Leaders greet the Civic Mayor of Tameside!

The Pupil Leaders had a very important job on Tuesday!  They had to greet The Civic Mayor of Tameside who was visiting Broadbent Fold to recognise Year 6's hard work to achieve their Arts Awards.  The certificates were handed to the Year 6 children in an assembly.  The Pupil Leaders did an amazing job, welcoming Madam Mayor nd Mr Consort into our school.  After the assembly, they visited all the classrooms and were very impressed!  They said our school has a lovely feel!  It is true!  Mrs Blomeley

New to BBF - Wellbeing Wednesdays!

Our Pupil Leaders have decided that every Wednesday is a wellbeing 'check-in' day. On Wellbeing Wednesday we take time to chat, to do yoga, meditation and share things on our mind. Staff and pupils are joining in with these special days every week. Join in at home too and talk to each other.

Pupil Leaders meet the Chair of Governors!

This week, the Pupil Leadership Team met with Bob, our Chair of Governors, to update him on their activities so far in the school year.  These ranged from choosing the items for UNICEF, following last year's Sponsored Silence; helping to promote ideas to gain the school's Gold Healthy Eating Award; to analysing answers from the recent questionnaire completed by the whole school.  Bob was very impressed by their confidence and leadership skills and was delighted with our school's Pupil Voice!  Their next task is to look at ideas for lunchtime clubs - watch this space!
