Following the recent Pupil Leaders meeting, we have now started a lunchtime Art Club for Key Stage 2! JJ and KMT have planned the ideas for the Club, ranging from sketching charactes to photographic art! Today's group enjoyed being part of the first club and produced some amazing sketches! The Pupil Leadership team met yesterday to discuss After School and Lunchtime Clubs! Broadbent Fold are proud of their wide variety of sporting clubs, as well as the hugely popular After School Musical Theatre club. We discussed that there had been a dip in the amount of Upper Key Stage 2 children signing up to clubs lately. Other commitments outside of school (eg swimming, attending own football clubs etc) seemed to be some possible reasons for this. We are all so active!

Pupil Leaders and Wellbeing Champions met with Mrs Parker today to discuss the results of our recent Parents and Pupil questionnaire. What amazing feedback we had! All children present agreed that they felt happy and safe in school. They are looking forward to sharing information and raising questions to their own classes next week. Mrs Blomeley
Head Girl and Head Boy met Ryder & Dutton today - to receive our Christmas Hamper. We are so grateful for all their donations and support! This will be in our raffle for the fair on 10th December.

A huge congratulations to our Road Safety Poster Winners - Lois and Harry. We also had lots of runners up, because they were so good. Very colourful deisgns, which showed pupils how to stay safe on our roads.
Pupil Leaders started their duties today looking at our anti-bullying policy. They had some great ideas on how to prevent any kind of bullying. They will be joining me on a behaviour learning walk next week.
Myself, Sam- Head Boy and Ruby- Head Girl have been reading all the new year 6 application forms. We received a huge amount of applications for the roles of Head Girl, Head Boy and Prefect - it was so tough to decide. We shall announce the results on Thursday 25th July in our celebration assembly. Every application was outstanding, well done to our current year 5.
Children’s Mental Health Week will take place from 5-11 February 2024. The theme this year is ‘My Voice Matters’. My Voice Matters is about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves.
This year, we want to empower children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to work together to create a positive change for their mental health and wellbeing. Our aim is for Children’s Mental Health Week, we want all children and young people to be able to say – and believe - “My Voice Matters.”
Pupil Leaders led a lunchtime coding club for year 4s today. They worked on Scratch and Purple Mash.
