Dear Parents, Carers I do hope you've all had a fabulous October holiday, and the children are raring to get cracking for our second term in Year 6. The children have been working ever so hard in their first term, and I hope they're buzzing to get started on our topic: What did the Windrush scandal teach us? In Geography, they will be researching the HMS Windrush; we will be linking this knowledge closely to our writing skills and delving into learning about trade in Geography. In science, our work on animal classification and micro-organisms will be supported by our creative homework in which the children need to create their very own island. This can be a model or a drawing and will be used to create a board game in DT. These models need to be in school by Monday 30th November 2026Important dates and information

• Fire Safety workshop- 1st December
• Visit to Rayner Stephens- Spanish Workshop -3rd December
• Our PE days will be on Monday and Wednesday in Autumn 2
