Reading Ambassador Meeting

Thank you to our Reading Ambassadors for attending their meeting with Jo Merrifield from Tameside Libraries this week. They shared their fabulous poetry display which they have created in the KS2 Library. We then looked at genres of text and how we can inspire children to trial reading a new genre. All children can access Ebooks and Audio books for free using their Tameside Library membership card using Borrow Box. Please see eReading - Tameside MBC for more information.

Tree planting

We have been planting our new trees that we got from the Woodland Trust. They are very small at the moment but we will look after them and we are looking forward to watching them grow over the next few years.

Summer 1

Hello Nursery,

I hope you have had a lovely and fun filled holiday and a big welcome to our new families. This half term we are growing our own beanstalks, I wonder who we will find at the top?

Please find attached the Medium Term Plan and Home Learning Grid for anyone wanting to do some additional learning (this is entirely optional).

Science Competition

Thank you everyone for your fantastic entries for the science competition, it was so difficult to choose the winners. Have a look at some of their fabulous creations.

World Book Day celebrations

Today in assembly we celebrated all of the hard work from World Book Day when each class shared some of their work on a class book or author. This was incredible to see and I was really impressed with all of the classes. It shows how much we love reading at Broadbent Fold.

We also rewarded our competition winners who designed a new book cover for their class text. Our runner-ups and winners all received a certificate and a prize. The winning entries will proudly be displayed in our library.

Zoo2U

Zoo2U animal workshop came to visit nursery this morning. We had a fantastic morning learning all about the animals and we all listened beautifully. Great job, nursery!

World Book Day

On World Book Day we dressed up as our favourite book character and shared stories with our friends.
