Superhero's in our community

This half term, our topic has been "Superheroes in Our Community" – and what an exciting few weeks it's been!

We’ve been learning all about the amazing people who help keep us safe and make our communities better places to live. From doctors and nurses to police officers and paramedics, we’ve discovered that not all superheroes wear capes – some wear uniforms and carry tools to help others!


Word class Poem

Year 5 wrote word class poems today in English following these rules: 

Line 1: 2 adjectives 

Line 2: 3 adverbs

Line 3: 4 verbs with alliteration, 

Line 4: Where?

Line 5: When? 


Fire Service visited Year 2

We have a visit from the Fire Brigade who taught us lots about how the fire engine worked. They explained how important their jobs were and how to respond if their was a fire at home.


Active minds

In our final active minds session we practised all of the yoga poses which we have learned. We finished with a relaxing meditation. 


Team Ruby Winners

Team Ruby win the team points this half term with 1,917 points. They receive non-uniform day on Thursday. Well done everyone. 


Active bodies

Year 3 had their last active body session this morning where they celebrated everything they have done so far.They worked in teams to design a game and teach others how to play it.


Career Assembly Winners

This half term our assembly focus has been on 'Communication' and the importance in their future job. A pupil from each class was voted and achieved their certificate and 5 star points. They have displayed outstanding speaking and listening skills - well done superstars. 


Superhero Obstacle Course Challenge!

As part of our Superhero Day, the children put their super skills to the test by taking on a thrilling superhero obstacle course! The obstacle course was a brilliant way to build confidence, coordination, and a superhero-sized sense of achievement!
