Polish artwork

As part of Polish Day, Year 4 created wycinanki artwork which dates back to the 19th century and involves cutting paper to create decorative designs. We loved how colourful our finished artwork was! 


Game Changers

Our Game Changers completed their training last week and have lots of ideas on how to promote girls participating in sport, especially football! They are loving wearing their new hoodies around school!


Young Ambassadors

Our Sports Leaders recieved their badges and certificates yesterday for completing their young ambassadors training. They have lots of fantastic ideas and we cannot wait to see what they do!

 

 


Swimming Awards

Year 4 have been amazing us in their swimming lessons each week and have all earnt their swimming badges. Great job everyone, keep it up!


Amazing area work

Year 4 have been working really hard in their Maths lessons on area where they used post it notes to measure the area of different objects including the table! They had to make sure their were no gaps and that they didn't overlap.


Polish Day

To celebrate Polish Day year 3 have been practising our Polish songs. We have also learnt about Polish folk art called wycinanki.

We have made symmetrical patterns by cutting and sticking coloured paper. Our finished results are fantastic!


Gymnastics

Year 5 were applying their gymnastics knowledge to the apparatus? This included jumps, balances, hand stands, bridges and crabs. 


Polish Celebrations

Today, we have been celebrating Poland. We had a guided tour of the country in assembly, found out lots of facts and played Polish games during lessons. What a fun day we had in Year 6!
