Chess Champions

Year 5&6 have been engrossed in their first Chess session. The matches were very close but Matthew and Orson successfully won their games.

Settling in

The children have settled into Year 1 seemlessly. They have been doing continuous provision to build on their skills across all areas of the curriculum including maths, phonics, art, fine motor, computing, physical movement, design and technology, music and much more.  Here is a snipit of some of the activities we have been doing...

Reading

Today, we have been reading our class text 'Supertato'. The children enjoyed following along with their pointers and joining in chorus. Well done Year 1, a great start!

Year 6 Rugby

Year 6 have been improving their pop passes today and tried to coordinate movement too. Great job.

Wellbeing Book Club

Our pupils started reading Ella on the Outside with Nechen our Mental Health Practitioner. Our pupils will read the text and share with their peers, picking up on key issues that our Wellbeing Champions can tackle in school.

Writing in Year 6

Year 6 have started their diary of an inanimate object and they are fabulous. The way the class are thoughtfully writing to improve, examining emotions of their object is fantastic. Well done Year 6.

Book corner competition

The Reading Ambassadors have set their first challenge- which class has the best book corner?

The winning class will receive a prize. Please see the details attached.

Road Safety Competition

I set a competition today for pupils to design a road safety poster for being seen as the dark nights start. All entries to me by 4th October and I will announce winners with awards the week after. Thank you.
