Scratch Coding

Year 3 have enjoyed using Scratch to explore coding motion, sound, costumes and backdrops. Today they have planned their final project which they will create next week.

Volcanoes

Our creative homework project this term was to create a volcano. The volcanoes that have been brought in so far are outstanding year 3. You have worked so hard on them and I am really enjoying all of the videos that are being sent in of you making your volcanoes erupt at home.

I cannot wait to see the rest of them.

Science - Investigating the heart

We have been learning about the heart in Science this half term. In this lesson, we wanted to find out how and why our heart rate increases. The class tried different exercises before measuring and counting their pulse to find out the beats per minute.

Pirate day

Thank you parents for sending your little pirates into school.

Ahoy there Mateys!  Children learnt to speak using pirate phrases.

They really enjoyed art, treasure chest activities and controlling bee bots to find points on a map!

After weeks of practise, Year 2 performed their pirate dances to Year 1 and Mrs Parker.

Tudor life

Today, Year 4 learnt all about how the rich and poor people lived during Tudor times. We learnt about the type of food they would have eaten, their housing and their clothing. We even got to go on a virtual tour of Hampton Court Palace and try on some Tudor clothing.

Chinese New Year

We all had a great time celebrating Chinese New Year. We made lanterns, took part in a dragon dance and tasted yummy food!

Children's Mental Health Week

Take part in Children's Mental Health Week this week from home.

This week, we're focusing on our theme of Know Yourself, Grow Yourself. We want to equip and empower children and the adults who surround them to embrace self-awareness and explore what it means to them.

Super Proud

Well done to our Year 6 girls who organised and talked in assembly about our class author- Tony Bradman. Great work girls and thank you.
