Year 5 worked in small teams to matched the European countries to their flags and maps using an atlas for support. 

Today the Reading Ambassadors had their first meeting with Lisa from Tameside Libraries. They joined in on Zoom with other Reading Ambassadors in Tameside. They looked at the work produced in our library club this term.

Our next mission is to encourage children to make a Book Review. 

In OAA today with the sports coach, the class tested each others communication and trust through games.

For anti-bullying week, the class joined a BBC live lesson and completed activities to  learn about being kind and how to stand up against bullying. 

Year 6 were very respectful during our 2 minutes silence for Remembrance Day at 11:00 am. They used their emotions to create a wonderful poignant poppy display later in the day. 

The children created their villain for their spy stories today and some of the villains were hot seated and interviewed. They gave interesting answers.

Year 2 listened to an assembly about Online Safety. This was linked to the Intranet legends children designed.

Year 1 have begun exploring fact families using the part-part-whole model. We have been learning how numbers belong together and how we can use them to make different number sentences.

This week we are ensuring pupils are aware about bullying and ensuring that they speak up and stay safe. 

Our amazing year 6s met at Dukinfield Cenotaph yesterday with our govenror Mr Moon to lay a wreath on behalf of our community. What excellent role models we have.
