A massive congratulations to all the children in Year 6 and especially our merit winners. Well done everyone.

We have continued exploring light this week. We looked at how light reflects off certain objects and we sorted materials into which would be the most effective to reflect light on a book bag. We also looked at how light travels through materials which are transparent, translucent and opaque.

Our Year 5 and 6 boys football team got rather muddy tonight in their football match against St Mary's Catholic Primary School in the first round of the Alan Millea cup, which they won 3-1! They showed great skill and didn't let the mud bother them. Fantastic work boys!

Year 6 had a fantastic debate this afternoon about the actions of Rosa Parks in 1955.

The children had great fun in Polish today ensuring that they were pronouncing the numbers to ten accurately and their colours.

Our brilliant librarian reading at lunchtime with our year 1 pupils.

Our Reading Ambassadors and Librarians met Ryder & Dutton today - where they presented school with new books! These books are gothic novels and a selection we needed to inspire boys to read. Thank you so much for this contribution, our pupils will love them.

Year 3 working on their tag rugby skills with Charles from the Jason Robinson Trust.

Our Year 5 and 6 girls football team had a fantastic first game of the year against Arlies Primary school where they won 3-1. They had a positive attitude throughout and were very encouraging and supportive of one another. Great job girls!

Today as part of our light topic year 3 have been exploring the dark using dark boxes. We found out that with no light at all we couldn't see anything but when we shone a torch inside we could see a lot more.
