Advent Challenge- a time to think of others!

The Season of Advent is a time for thinking of others and challenging yourself to be the best possible!

That’s something that people of all faiths can get involved with so here is an  Advent Challenge with a difference.

On the attached for every day there is a different challenge to complete.

Marvellous Merits

Year 4 have been having a brilliant week again. A big congratulations to Nathan and Maisie for gaining the class merits for excellent behaviour in class and Lexi and Summer gained the Ready, Respectful and Safe pencils. A very well done everyone.

Year 4 have been safely using peelers to whittle wood and make some Christmas decorations.  They also enjoyed playing a hiding game called Closer, Closer.

Marvellous Music in Y4

Year 4 have been working hard with Mrs Simpson in music. They are writing rhythms, reading music, learning songs and playing the penny whistles. Some children have decided to join the after school club too and will be performing in our Christmas carol service.

Leaf ID and being creative with leaves

Year 4 have enjoyed identifying trees using their leaves and using the leaves to make faces, people and animals.  They have also listened to the story of The Green Man and used clay to make faces in the trees.

Broadbent Fold pupils gave up their Saturday morning to represent school in the second cross country race of the year. A big well done to everyone who took part.

Anti Bullying Week in Y4

Year 4 were fully prepared to show their differences in support of anti-bullying week today with their odd socks. They have been very proactive in ensuring that bullying doesn't happen in year 4 and if anyone needs help or a friend that they are there for them and they know who to go to for help.

Be Kind Online!

This week is anti- bullying week.

Children as part of their e-safety learning will discuss how to be kind online.

Think about what would you do if someone was being unkind to you or your friend? (This could be online or in person)

Share the ideas of how to be kind with your teacher and friends. At home share how to keep safe online.

Remember be kind.
