This half term, we learning about A Night on Bare Mountain composed by Modest Mussorgsky off the film Fantasia. In English, we have been exploring nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and have been creating our own spooky  entences to describe the senses. We have also been exploring coordinating conjuntions and using these in our writing to create a spooky story setting. In Topic, we have begun researching facts about Modest Mussorgsky and have been expressing how the music makes us feel through mod art.

Today we dressed up in our favourite Roald Dahl hero/book character to celebrate National Roald Dahl day. Look at our fantastic costumes! Can you guess who we are?

What a fantastic day we have had with our World War Two workshop! We have learnt lot's of interesting facts all about the war, we got to explore and handle WWII artefacts, we got to dress up in WWII clothing, tried on modified gas masks, explored propaganda posters, learnt how to put fire bombs out, practiced how to do first aid, worked out Morse code and much, much more! What a busy week we have had! This week, we have taken part in orieteering, completed a fitness circuit, taken part in a whole school dance assembly, the Soccer Aid playground challenge, dressed up in the colours of our country (France) took part in a whole school zumba session, watched a world cup match live and celebrated all our hard work in a celebration assembly singing 'Colors' the 2018 World Cup song and performed a whole school Mexican wave.
