Librarians

The librarians have already started their roles so well. They have made sure the KS1 and KS2 libraries are tidy. They have organised lunch time boxes of reading books for children to read at lunch time. They also run a lunch time Library Club where they read, play games and make book marks.

They are all already wonderful!

Meet our new Reading Ambassadors

I am very excited to work with our new KS2 Reading Ambassadors. They will help me run competitions and challenges over the year to encourage reading for pleasure.

They have already been set their first challnege...to make a poster about reading to be displayed in our school library and on the Tameside Library Twitter (now X) feed.

I am very excited to work with them all this year.

PSHE - Invent a game

Today the class worked in groups to invent a game together. The children had to take turns to listen to each other share ideas, demonstrating the value of Respect.

Pupil Leaders and Wellbeing

Our Pupil Leaders met and completed their first task today. They met our Mental Health Leader and discussed wellbeing. Their next task is to review our anti-social behaviour policy.

Front Row Music

Front Row Music came into assembly today to explain their music facilities. They got some children to demonstrate how easy it was to play the guitar and ukulele, play some games and they really enthused the children. If you wish for your child to have lessons, please ask for a sign up sheet.

P.E: Hockey

For this half term, year 3 are learning about the sport Hockey. Today, the children practised near and far positions and how to dribble a ball using the hockey stick. The class did really well!
