Joy of Moving Festival

Broadbent Fold are looking forward to partnering with Oldham Athletic FC next week in the Joy of Moving Home Festival, joining thousands of schools across the country. The festival is aimed at KS2 children but parts are accessible by younger children if they want to join in. Participating in this festival gives us the opportunity to win £500 worth of equipment for school. See information about all the different activities for the festival in the files below.

Logan's Amazing Learning

Logan has worked very hard with his home learning this week. He has been learning all about Captain Scott, practising his fractions, completed a comprehension on how to look after a dog and been practising his spellings. Keep up the brilliant work Logan!

Ted's Brilliant Book

Ted has had the brilliant idea to write a book. Here are the first four pages of his story; I can't wait to see what happens next! Fantastic work Ted!

Ted's Fantastic Learning

Ted has worked hard on his fractions finding not only 1/4 and 1/2 of a number but also 3/4 of a number. He has also done a wordsearch and practised his handwriting whilst doing his spellings. Keep up the super work Ted!

Aubrey's Amazing Learning

Aubrey has been busy with his home learning. He has built a boat using his Playmobil and recreated Captain Scott's mission. He has also been the teacher and has been marking his own spellings. Aubrey has been making the most of the windy weather by flying his kite. Fantastic work Aubrey! Keep it up!

Suzie and Matilda's Vending Machine

Matilda had the fantastic idea of making a vending machine for her and Suzie. They scanned pictures of the food and made prices for how much everything would cost. Suzie then bought the snacks using real coins and Matilda was challenged by having to give the right change if she was given too much. What a great way to learn about money! I hope there are still some snacks for me and Mrs Blomeley to buy!
