Year 6 really enjoyed finding out about Poland this week.
We have tasted Polish food, used maps to locate Poland in Europe and to look at the georaphical features of Poland.
We have also researched different places in Poland to produce a class book.
Please look through the photographs of our fun day.
Well done to our Year 3 children who received the Headteacher's Awards for fantastic work and behaviour as well as Good to Be Green recognition. Thank you for your hard work this week.
A huge congratulations to the children who received our two Head Teachers award and two Good to be Green awards this week! Keep up the hard work everybody!
Congratulations to our Y6 Stars of the week Ava and Charlie.
Ava's Islamic artwork was very impressive this week and is now on the KS2 art gallery. She had great ideas on our All about Poland day too and created a fantastic 3D map of Poland with her group.
Charlie's enthusiasm for learning Polish has been noticed by several of the teachers around the school. He even joined in in the Polish baby shark song with great enthusiasm. His work during our 'All about Poland day' was very impressive too.
A massive congratulations to our class merit winners this week. Brilliant work and behaviour from all of them.
We had lots of fun making Supertato from our class text. We wrote lists of everything we would need to make them including potatoes, paper, tape, glue, pipe cleaners and googly eyes.
Polish day, Year 3 learnt facts about Poland and wrote them in a fact file. They enjoyed singing baby Shark in Polish and learning new words.
Miss Laitl even brought some polish food for everyone to try- delicious.
Year 3 children have said they'd like to go on holiday to Poland.
Today, we are celebrating 'All about Poland Day'. This morning in assembly, we sung Baby Shark in Polish and listened to Key Stage 2 sing the numbers to 10. We also got to try some polish food, it was yummy! We also created a traditional Polish pattern, folding paper to create symmetrical patterns and then layered the coloured paper up to create flowers. Stay tuned to see out final product.
Year 1 had a fantastic time doing some circuit training with Freddy Fit and loved taking part in all the different activities. A big thank you to all the Year 6 helpers who helped to run the stations and were great role models to the Year 1's.
