Swimming Gala

Today our year 4,5 and 6 pupils took part in Tameside's Swimming Gala. We came 5th place, which is amazing and even pipped a 1st place in the odd race. Well done to our stars - we are very proud of you!

Rounders competition

Some Year 6 pupils represented Broadbent Fold in a rounders competition this week coming 2nd in their group. They played against Micklehurst with a final score of 6 - 1.5 rounders and against Moorside with a very close score of 4.5 - 5 rounders. There were some great tactics and quick thinking with our team getting lots of people out at first base. Well done to everyone that took part!

Gold Award!

We are delighted to announce that Broadbent Fold Primary School, have achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award for the 2022/23 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

Broadbent Fold vs Gee Cross

Broadbent Fold's boys football team had a fantastic friendly match against Gee Cross Primary School winning the game 3-1. There was some great team working, passing and defending especially in the second half where we really worked as a team. Well done everyone!

Cheshire Cricket Finals

We had a lovely afternoon at the Cheshire cricket finals on Wednesday and we came 3rd overall beating Godley in round 1 and losing a very close game against Arlies. We then won our friendly against Lyndhurst before we played St Mary's Dukinfield in the play off for 3rd place in another very close game. Everyone showed brilliant batting and fielding skills with lots of 6s scored, catches and lots of bowling to hit the wickets. Well done everyone!
