Year 5 enjoy Freddy Fit activities!

Year 5 have loved all of the different sports they took part in during Sports Week and they still made time to put their fitness skills to the test by using the Freddy Fit stations on the field!   Amazing work Year 5!  You are all super fit!  Mrs Blomeley


Visit from Andy Robertson

What a way to end sports week with a visit from GB sprinter Andy Robertson to give out our sporting awards! There was lots of excellent sportsmanship shown over the course of this week with lots of children learning new skills. Thank you Andy for coming in to give out the awards and answer all our questions about what it is like to be an elite athlete. 

The final scores for Sports Week are in....

1st place = Ruby with 560 points

2nd place = Amber with 550 points

3rd place = Sapphire with 547 points

4th place = Emerald with 531 points


Awards in Year 5!

Special Sports Certificates were awarded this week for brilliant involvemnt in all the activities, as well as for following our sporting, school values of honesty, determination, respect, teamwork, self-belief and passion.  Members of our class attended the Active Tameside Swimming Gala; we are so proud of them!  Good to be Green Awards were presented for being Ready Respectful and Safe, as well as Mathletics certificates and Athletic medals for acheivements outside of school.   Well done everyone!  Mrs Blomeley


Litter Picking

Year 2 have been doing a fantastic job with their litter picking. They have found lots of interesting items buried under the bushes! A brilliant way to help save the environment.


KS2 Sport’s Day

The rain managed to stay away and we had a fabulous sports day this afternoon. The children were fantastic and it was fabulous seeing so many parents and careers come and watch. Well done everyone! The results will be added to all the events this week and the winning team will be announced on Friday. 


Broadbent Fold vs Arlies

Our Year 4 and 5 boys football team had their first game against Arlies PrImary School this week with a final score of 0-2. They showed great promise and teamwork with some fantastic passing skills and lots of shoto on target. We can't wait to see how you develop as a team in future matches. Well done boys!


Awards in Year 5!

This week's award winners in Year 5 were achieved for great enthusiasm and hard work in Maths, being an amazing friend and for being Ready, Respectful and Safe.  a great start to the last term of Year 5!  Well done everyone!  Mrs Blomeley
